“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” -George Bernard Shaw

All my life I have believed that everything happens for a reason, good things come to those who wait and timing is everything. In other words: just sit back, relax and your life will unfold perfectly right in front of you. And although this mentality has helped me to become a very patient and easy going person, it has also inhibited my abilities to set goals and create a realistic plan to achieve them. As a relatively new stylist, the words retail and pre-booking were burned into my brain, but I lacked the confidence and tools to go from knowing to doing. I allowed myself to become disconnected and discouraged and as a result I was not fully engaged with my guests. This was not only a disservice to my guests, but a great disservice to myself and my potential. Qnity was an eye opening experience and I am thankful to have been given the opportunity to attend at such an early stage in my career. It made me realize that my success as a stylist is a direct result of the focus and energy that I put into every guest, every day. More importantly, Qnity provided me with the tools to put this realization into action. The Three C's help me to create a consistent consultation so that I can have closure after each service and move on with confidence. The QPlan and 9Grid help me to organize my goals into simple steps that I can focus on to avoid feeling overwhelmed. The Tuesday Tracker helps me to celebrate small wins and identify opportunities for improvement. As Ambassador for Keema Salon, I hope to set an example for my team by consistently utilizing the tools that Qnity has provided to us, creating an environment of support and encouragement, and continuing to seek opportunities to improve as a stylist and business person. Go Keema! Earn more money. Do what you love. Have a life.
